The vision of Maternal Matters Favored came about in 2018 by Founder/President, Tamara (Tam) Mackroy. The mission was to provide direct services to women in Central Florida who were or had experienced postpartum depression and or anxiety. For various reasons the incorporation of the organization was tabled, only to be revisited for such a time appointed by God (2022). 

Tam believes this is her Kingdom Assignment due to the fact that in 2002, she herself endured perinatal anxiety, that turned into postpartum anxiety and depression. During that time Postartum Mood Anxiety Disorders (PMAD) services were not a "thing," mental health stigmas were, and there were no Providers who looked like her to connect with. This lead her to turning to drugs to cope with various aspects of her life. After fighting her way to recovery and being active in her community, she saw the growing numbers of PMAD cases. For this reason alone, Favored was brought to full fruition to be a beacon of hope in order to heal lives.
